These beautiful and colorful Fika trays are part of the coffee series I Love Design. They are 27 x 20 cm, made of birch wood and made by hand, covered with beautiful print and laminated so that moisture does not stick to the wood.
In addition to the word coffee, each tile mentions the English text below that explains what coffee means. The perfect union for everyone who loves Sweden and coffee.
Fika is a social institution in Sweden: it means having a break. Often a coffee break with colleagues, friends, dates or family. The word has rather ambiguous connotations and can mean anything from taking a break from work or other activities, to going on a date. This practice of taking a break, typically with a cinnamon roll or some biscuits or cakes, or sometimes a sandwich or a fruit on the side, is central to Swedish life and is regularly enjoyed by the government.
